We speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, and basic of French. Feel free to text us in your mother language as well.
I try to check this app at least twice a week, so between 1 to 5 days to answer back.
Short version: About the room - It’s a 3bed 2bath at the BishopHeights land leasing out a room. The lease is already signed just need someone to take over from my current roommates.
About the roomies - We are a young couple, 26 and 23 years old, he’s from Brazil and she’s from Costa Rica. We also have a 22-year-old girl roommate that is now our friend, she’s from Minnesota. And a 21-year-old Canadian guy that we also gonna miss a lot. We all work and study and are very easygoing. We also have two cats super chill.
Ideally, we would like to find a student with whom we could develop a friendship.

On the 4th floor; Indoor laundry room; small balcony, dishwasher and two sinks; stove; oven; air fryer; electric pressure cooker; all kitchen utensils; central heating; excellent soundproofing; new apartment.
About the room
We can provide a bed, mattress and desk. The photos currently show our ongoing move into this location in Feb/2025, but rest assured, the room will be fully prepared and inviting upon your arrival. Closet and carpets in excellent condition. Large window with optional mosquito netting. New paint, job less than an year ago. Fire detector. And an view of downtown or the UofM stadium.

Area: Next to a Plaza Center on Pembina, with Dollarama, Staples, Best Buy, Save-on-foods, Petland, some restaurants, auto repair shops, Asian market and restaurants, music and instrument store, gas station, all within a 10 to 15 minute walk.
Our location offers a variety of transportation options: a 30-minute walk, a 10-minute bike ride, or a mere 5-minute bus ride from the University of Manitoba. Additionally, we are just 20 minutes by bus from the University of Winnipeg and downtown.
For fitness enthusiasts, we are situated right next to the expansive 24-hour GoodLife Fitness in the Winnipeg Refinery District. Moreover, our condominium boasts an exclusive fitness space and a modern, trendy living area complete with a full kitchen and lounge perfect for relaxing or socializing with groupof friends.
Bus stop 3 minutes walk from the building entrance with connection to Blue Line in 5 minutes, or you can walk 10 minutes directly to a Blue Line stop. It’s perfectly peaceful, even in winter. We come from tropical countries where it doesn’t snow, we don’t have a car, and we’ve been using public transport here in Winnipeg for two years.
Parking options: Indoor (130$) or outdoor (60$) garage options or (free) on the street.

She’s also incredibly dedicated.
🎮 Caio is an energetic adventurer and an avid gamer. As a savvy manager at Dollarama, his English may not be as polished as Mel’s, but he always has an amusing or intriguing tale to share 👀🤣. Also, he’s a talented photographer, able to make even the photo-shy fall in love with his pictures 📸. He always treats everyone with great respect and care. He genuinely enjoys doing good and helping others.

🐈🤴 Introduce yourself to Kelbie, the 2-year-old prince of energy. This vibrant orange cat is brimming with energy and loves to play. He will adore you unconditionally and is always ready to keep you company, especially at meal times 😂.
They are a constant reminder of the importance of cleanliness, something we take very seriously to ensure a pleasant and hygienic environment for all.

*Water and Wi-Fi included, but not hydro/electricity. The total of this is usually 30$ to 50$ and your part is 1/3 of that.

The security deposit that building administration holds from us is about 2,000$, so your part is 500$ and is required to confirm your interest and reservation of the room.

Inclusion in the lease has a 75$ fee directly to the building administration to run a background check.

They also require insurance and suggest a company that charges around 260$ per year (non-refundable), or you can join to my existing policy for 1/3 of that amount (85$).

The lease expires in February 2027, and we plan to renew it for at least another 2 years. You can leave before the end of the lease agreement, but only if someone replaces you, and that person must be approved by us and the building management.

Your deposit will be returned to you 1 business day after the building administration removes your name from the rental agreement.

The last month is required in advance and will be used in your last month.

Rent is always due on the 22nd, corresponding to the 1st day until the last day of the following month.
