About the roomies
Four quiet young professionals, and two friendly indoor cats, were enjoying this 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom, well-located townhouse but one young lady married and moved out. While the roomies would prefer a new female roommate they are also open to sharing with someone who is non-binary, trans, etc. They prefer someone who is an ally of the rainbow community and who is also COVID-cautious. You must be a NON-SMOKER since the whole condo townhouse complex is non-smoking, but if you like to consume gummies or edibles, those are not prohibited. Absolutely no loud parties are allowed so it is a great place for folks who appreciate living in a peaceful environment or who need quiet for studying or for Zoom business meetings. The new roommate must be willing to share chores and to help keep the townhouse clean and tidy. Everyone cleans their own private room and helps with cleaning the shared areas but the roomies also hire a cleaner once a month do a thorough cleaning of all shared areas of the townhouse. You would be expected to contribute a share of the cost for the cleaning service (approx. $50/month/person). If you wish to share groceries and meal preparation that can be discussed with the roomies but you are also welcome to look after your own meals. There are large pantry cupboards (as shown in the “Tea Please” photo) where the roomies have arranged separate private shelves (one for each tenant) plus many communal shelves where you are free to help yourself to what is available for all to use/share (e.g.; salt, vanilla, spices, etc). Be aware that one tenant has an allergy to fish and seafood! If you are a good fit in the household, then a long term stay is preferred. I’m the landlady and can easily provide assistance with any problems that arise as I live only minutes away from the townhouse.
Here is a message the roomies asked me to ad: We’re into maintaining a queer- and trans-friendly space, supporting each other’s neurodivergences and disabilities (household Discord has a reminder bot), kindness, affectionate teasing, terrible puns, a fine blend of sarcasm and sincerity, group dinners, grocery swaps when convenient, keeping shared spaces very clean and mostly uncluttered, plants that are cat-safe, crafts (knitting, sewing, cross-stitch), being very thoughtful and saying thanks, doing favours, being open about mental health, being body-positive (no fatphobia or judging food choices) and sex-positive (we attempt quiet and discretion, but if a roomie has a partner stay over and you overhear things, you are invited to offer the offending couple high-fives in the hallway later), threatening to turn our vocal Bengal-mix cat into a hat (we love him very much but OMG), epic couch naps, creative swearing, and talking smack about each other’s tastes in TV and books.
