I’m renting out a cozy room in my historic 130-year-old Victorian house near downtown Chatham. It’s got a ton of character with original squeaky floors, though just a heads-up that the staircase is a bit steep and narrow.

The room is fully furnished and comes with a comfy queen bed (new mattress), a desk, a big TV, and a mini-fridge. There’s also a walk-in closet with a dresser. You’ll have full access to the kitchen and the shared 1 and 1/2 bathroom plus a big living room where you’re welcome to hang out and catch a game.

I do have two cats and a small dog, so you’ll definitely need to be cool with pets!

We’re a friendly, retired couple looking for a chill roommate to share our home with. My husband is usually off golfing, and I spend most of my time cooking, crafting and creating! Just a heads-up that I have celiac disease, so we keep the kitchen gluten-free for my health. Don’t worry though, we’ll set you up with your own mini-fridge in your room for any gluten-containing food you want to keep on hand.

We’re pretty laid-back and enjoy relaxing with a drink or some cannabis at home. Our place is definitely a “lived-in” kind of house rather than a spotless show home, so we’re looking for someone who doesn’t mind things being cozy and relaxed. If you’re looking for a low-pressure spot and don’t mind a house that feels like a real home, we’d love to chat!
