🌲 Welcome to Our Little Cabin in the Woods!

Tucked away in a peaceful, wooded neighbourhood surrounded by greenery, our home offers a cozy retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The area is quiet, the neighbours are friendly but generally keep to themselves, and there’s plenty of nature right outside your door.

We’re renting out a furnished bedroom that has recently been refreshed with new paint and upholstery. If you love deep forest greens, warm lighting, and a cozy, cabin-inspired atmosphere, you’ll feel right at home!

• Individual heating controls for your comfort
• A beautiful bay window overlooking our backyard and fence line
• Plenty of natural light and a peaceful, private atmosphere

Our backyard is spacious, with plenty of greenery and room to relax. We’re also working on adding garden boxes, so if you enjoy gardening or growing your own food, you’re more than welcome to get involved!

You’ll have access to the kitchen, bathroom, living room, laundry facilities, and even our home sauna!

💰 A Unique Rent Perk!

We occasionally host small Occupational Health and Safety training sessions at the house, typically just one or two days per month. These take place during daytime hours and involve sharing the kitchen space with small groups of participants.

As a thank-you for the occasional inconvenience, we offer rent credits for days when training sessions are held at home. It’s a little bonus that can help reduce your monthly rent!

🚗 Transportation

Because of our peaceful, somewhat secluded location, having your own vehicle is strongly recommended. The nearest bus stop is approximately a 40-minute walk away.

We’re also happy to help with occasional rides or carpooling when our schedules allow.

🖥️ Optional Gaming & Creative Workstation

For gamers, content creators, video editors, or anyone who enjoys a powerful computer setup, the room also offers an optional workstation!

The setup can include a 55-inch TV connected to a quad-monitor arrangement, giving you five displays in total, along with a gaming PC suitable for video editing, multitasking, creative projects, gaming, and more.

The best part? It’s completely optional!

• Keep the setup: The gaming PC, four monitors, and 55-inch TV can be made available for use upon request.
• Prefer more space? The entire workstation can be removed, giving you additional room to arrange the space however you like.

Whether you’re a gamer, creative professional, student, or simply looking for a cozy bedroom without the technology, we’re happy to accommodate your preference.

🌿 A Little About Our Household

We’re a friendly, easygoing household with people in their 20s, 30s, and 50s, so there’s a comfortable mix of generations here. Whatever your age, you’ll fit right in!

Our household is predominantly female, with my partner being the only male resident. We’d love to maintain that dynamic and are looking for another female roommate to join us.

Between the three of us, we work in administration, healthcare, and Occupational Health and Safety. Everyone has their own routines, responsibilities, and interests outside the home.

We’re all fairly independent and naturally keep to ourselves much of the time. The kitchen tends to be where we cross paths, catch up, and enjoy the occasional conversation. Otherwise, everyone enjoys their own space and privacy.

We also spend time away from home pursuing our own activities, so the house generally has a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere.

🐾 Our Four-Legged Family Member

We share our home with Winston, our lovable Aussiedoodle, who is always happy to make a new friend!

We’re definitely animal lovers and would love to find someone who feels the same way. Being comfortable around dogs is important, as Winston is very much part of the family.

We’re interested in holistic wellness, yoga, meditation, hiking, outdoor adventures, cooking, and plant-based eating.

While some of us enjoy a plant-based lifestyle, there’s absolutely no expectation that you do the same. Everyone is welcome to enjoy their own dietary preferences!

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Sober and substance-free, with a lifestyle that supports a peaceful household
• Relatively clean and tidy, especially when it comes to shared spaces
• Respectful and considerate of other people’s privacy, belongings, and schedules
• An animal lover who will be comfortable sharing a home with our dog
• Independent and responsible, with their own interests, commitments, and routines
• Friendly and easygoing, without feeling obligated to socialize all the time

We’re not a party house, and we value a calm, comfortable living environment where everyone can unwind and feel at home.

We don’t expect perfection or a spotless house 24/7. Just someone who cleans up after themselves, communicates respectfully, and contributes to a positive household atmosphere.
