Room for rent, available starting December 1 or January 1, a deal could also be made for halfway through a month if necessary; this is a shared house with rooms available. A quiet spacious suburban property in Oshawa, near the Rossland and Wilson intersection. Downstairs side room $750 per month, approx 11 ft by 9 ft, with a 2 ft by 3 ft closet. Besides that, there is plenty of other space around the house for storing things; the laundry room, several hall closets, atop or underneath the deck at the side of the house, as well as 2 outdoor sheds and a lot of backyard space. No smoking in the house but the backyard is fine.

The room is unfurnished, but the rest of the house is furnished, and there is central air for heat in winter and AC in summer. The 2 bathrooms (one per floor) and the kitchen are shared, we all pitch in to keep the house clean (garbage take-out, mowing lawn, shovelling snow, sweeping the common areas, etc). It’s a 7 minute walk from a grocery store, a 30min bus route, and a 24-hr convenience store. Parking is available but no street-parking in winter. I’m a guy in my 30s, there are a pair of older roommates in the downstairs master bedroom, they are retired and watch tv. Another roomie upstairs works in the evenings. I’m usually busy working during the week 8 to 5. Not a lot of partying going on, stays pretty quiet.
