We are looking for one older woman (50+) to join our golden girls arrangement. Being a kind and thoughtful person with a quick wit and generous spirit will make you an excellent fit.

Rent includes your PRIVATE BEDROOM and PRIVATE BATHROOM in a fully renovated house in an older neighborhood: the best of both worlds. ALL UTILITIES, INTERNET, PARKING, HOUSEKEEPING AND YARDWORK are INCLUDED. The rent will never increase.

It is a beautiful, fully renovated 5 bedroom, 2.5 bath house near Chinook mall. 2 stops from Mount Royal. It is furnished with good quality furniture and new appliances. If you have your own furniture, we can adapt.

It’s a calm, quiet home. We use headphones if we are listening to something on our own. Not everyone loves Joni Mitchell or wants to watch/hear Marvel movies.

This is ideal for someone who wants long term stability in a friendly, helpful place that is a home, not a temporary pit stop. Friendly, but not too friendly. We like our privacy. No one will ever go into your space or touch your things. You can personalize your space. Trust is paramount. You can have copies of my criminal record checks to help that along. I will expect the same from you.

There are lots of trees and green areas right in the neighbourhood and wonderful space between houses. Right now the birds are singing, the squirrels are chasing each other and the hares are hiding in the haskup bushes. It’s divine.

We have no pets at the moment but are willing to consider your pets IF they are well behaved and you never fail to pick up after them. Smoking is okay but only outside with butts going into the receptacles. Ditto if you use cannabis. But we wish you would quit. Come on now…let’s go for a walk instead!

Aging is not for the weak. We are stronger together.

There are two of us in the house but only me on the main floor. I’m a retired healthcare professional, 66F. My sister is 55 and lives in the separate apartment downstairs. I bought the house in 2017 and plan on staying forever. So does my sister. We are quiet, private people until you put a chilled glass of wine in my hands on a summer’s day. Then we can spend hours in the backyard telling stories and laughing. It’s rare, but fun.

Other than that we are just living our lives with as much joy as possible.
