Upstairs bedroom and bathroom in luxurious executive home in EQ’s Provence development in Orleans, new in 2024, near Trim Road and Innes Road. We are two straight semi-retired professional males, both 55+, looking for a male or female, friendly, clean, and considerate, with good life skills, who will appreciate a quiet retreat and will help take care of the home.

The house is a customized version of EQ’s Charlotte model. There’s a large gourmet kitchen with a gas stove, large fridge, large island with bar stools, lots of cupboard space, separate pantry; fully furnished living room and dining room; gas fireplace; engineered hardwood flooring and ceramic tile on the main floor.

The location: Close to Millennium Park (10-minute walk), O-Train Trim Station (opening soon). We are near the #30, 33, 35, and 36 bus routes.

Shops and services: We are a 15-minute walk from a shopping plaza at Trim and Innes, with a Sobey’s (large grocery store), Starbucks, Subway, 9-Round Gym, Tim Horton’s, several restaurants, and numerous other amenities. We are close to many other stores and services on Innes, Trim, and Tenth Line Roads, and a 10-minute drive from Place d’Orléans shopping mall.

The bedroom: 11’0” x 10’0” with a large (5’0” x 5’0”) walk-in closet; furnished with a twin bed; could accommodate a full – aka double – bed (not provided).

Bathroom: large, full bathroom, shared only when there are occasional guests.

What’s included: twin bed, high speed Internet, laundry facilities, full shared kitchen, designated food storage space, driveway parking for a compact or subcompact car, dining room privileges.

What’s not included: bedding, Ottawa Hydro (electrical, including air conditioning), and Enbridge Gas (heat and hot water). These utility bills will be split three ways. They average $70 per month per person, from about $50 in the spring and fall to about $110 in the winter.

Available extras: There’s a furnished spare bedroom upstairs available for guests up to 4 days per month @ $85/night. Garage parking for a small vehicle is available for $65/mo.

Shared responsibilities: We share cleaning of common areas, putting out trash and recycling, snow clearing, and other routine maintenance.

The home is occupied by two straight males: (1) a semi-retired, quiet, respectful non-drinking, non-smoking, vegetarian Buddhist (me), who typically uses the house Tuesday to Thursday, and (2) a semi-retired, quiet, considerate, active, respectful swim coach, handyman, and graphic designer, with an interest in gardening, who lives in the lower level.
