About the property
This is a bright, half-basement suite with full-sized windows and your own kitchen, living room, bathroom (with clawfoot tub), and bedroom. It feels like a private home, yet is part of a shared farmhouse. The washer is in your suite, while the dryer is upstairs. There is a little furniture (bed, kitchen table, chairs & loveseat) but there doesn’t have to be.
The utility room for the house is located in the suite, so we share respectful access both ways—you have access to my home upstairs, and I have access to the suite. We don’t need to give formal notice but always check in and are polite before entering.
Two cats (Pam and Chip) live upstairs. They are lovable jerks who don’t share space well, so no other cats are allowed. I only allow exceptionally well-trained dogs who are safe with free-ranging chickens, pigs, and children.
It’s a beautiful, creative space in a working farm environment—private, yet with a spirit of shared living.
