A large, bright bedroom in a quiet, quirky cottage-style home in Elm Park, old St. Vital. Big trees and yard. The bedroom can be furnished or unfurnished. Shared use of the rest of the house. Utilities and laundry included. Pedestrian and cycling friendly neighbourhood. 20-minute walk to bus routes on Pembina hwy (direct to downtown and both UM campuses). 20-minute walk to a coffee shop, grocery store, the Park Theatre (music venue), a bowling alley, restaurants and a public library. South YMCA is nearby. Also a farmer’s market from June to mid-October. There is a parking spot available if needed and a garage to store your bicycle. Will be looking for help with yard work (e.g. shoveling, raking and sweeping up elm seeds).

I am a female in my mid-40s and work full-time at the university. Looking for a roommate that is mature in disposition, clean, quiet and respectful of personal space. Need to be able to have constructive conversations about our shared living space. I am a writer so spend a considerable amount of time in my room (please don’t take offense). I love to cook and sometimes host small dinner parties, but will always check in to make sure the timing works.
