I am looking for a tenant to take over my lease on a spacious room in a basement apartment. It is a lovely room, and I am moving to be closer to my new workplace.

This is an ideal apartment for Dal/King’s students or young working professionals: we are only a block away from campus, with bus stops for the 1, 8, 4, 90, and 7A/B right across the street. The 10 and 24 stop nearby as well, and on-site parking can be arranged with the landlord.

The room comes furnished with a bed, desk, and chair (though the desk and chair can be removed if you have your own), with plenty of space for additional furniture. You’ll also have dedicated cabinets and fridge/freezer space in the kitchen.

All utilities and WiFi are included in the rent, and the in-unit washer and dryer are completely free to use and are almost always available! They are coin-operated, but the landlord has removed the collection tray and provided coins to use.

The washroom is only shared with one other person, and it stays clean and tidy. The building owners provide a weekly cleaning service for our public spaces, which is a great help when you’re busy but still want to come home to a nice space. They have also recently renovated the building and installed various pest- and mould-proofing features. I’ve never seen any pests here, and the space has always felt comfortable and clean.

The Lawtons pharmacy across the street is perfect for quick snacks and essentials, and Superstore is about a 10 minute bus ride/15 minute walk away. Being so centrally located, you will have easy walking access to anything and everything you need!

There are two other residents living in the apartment, both really friendly young guys. One is a neuroscience student at Dal and the other is a working professional. Both are out of the apartment a lot, and the place feels quite private most of the time.
