About the roomies
The landlord, Bin Chen, lives next door at 206 Langley Avenue. Toxic does not begin to describe the environment. Bin Chen has a history of peeping on female tenants. He enables another tenant to creep around other tenant’s rooms by sharing keys. Items moved, missing, and returned. Food tampered with, but not stolen. Bin Chen and his favoured tenant Jeff made living here a series of petty, annoying, and mostly inconsequential problems. Repeated attempts to provoke violence, or generate pretexts were common. Keep reading. Bin Chen has, on numerous occasions, made mention of the contents of private emails, texts, etc. Multiple incidences during my time have seen closed and locked private doors found open. Security devices, sabotaged. Chen has demonstrated a clear disregard for boundaries. The least troubling of these includes an unambiguous pattern of endless ‘coincidental’ meetings in the neighbourhood, the grocery store, the hardware store, the sidewalk, laundry room, front stoop, etc. He routinely opens and searches the trash and recycling once added to the wheel bins outside. He has a weird collection of bicycles (children’s and adult) piled up in the backyard, which is a cause for concern. Having confronted him on each of these matters as they came up, Bin Chen only got worse, and then worse again. I won’t bore you with my opinion on his motives. I implore you, if you’re reading this, to avoid this landlord and property at all costs. Bin Chen is is name, 206 Langley Ave. & 208 Langley Ave. I have seen other listings under his name as well.
