We live on a very quiet, safe street in River Heights within 1.5 blocks of major bus routes. The space is a basement suite that is not closed off but has a semi private entrance from the backdoor. There is a bedroom, living area with TV, another area with couch/bed or desk and a full bathroom. We have setup a small kitchenette with a mini fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. Access to the main kitchen can be shared with an agreement in place. Outdoor space is also shared. Washer & dryer access is included.

We are a mature couple with active lives. We are looking for a minimum of a 6 month commitment, preferably year round. We have a summer cottage and are away a lot from June - October so trust is a major factor as our roomie would have the house to themselves. We would expect some home maintenance (plant & garden watering, lawn mowing, etc) while we are away as well as regular cleaning of your space. Our kids and grandkids are in the city and are over regularly. The right person must be responsible, trustworthy, laid back, a non smoker and flexible. We can accommodate a dog and have a great yard for it but would charge an extra $100 per month, (sorry but can’t have a cat due to allergies). We would insist on a personal interview as well as a background check. No late night parties are acceptable but we don’t mind occasional quiet, respectful guests.
