About the room
The room is available Feb 1.
This house is LGBTQ friendly. It is 10 blocks south of Whyte ave, a 5 minute walk to Mill Creek Ravine, and a 20 minute bike ride, or 35 minutes by bus, to the University of Alberta, with quick routes to downtown as well. There is plenty of room for parking in the front, and also room for another bicycle in the garage. Our backyard has a fireplace and a garden. There is one shared bathroom, shared (free) laundry, and a shared kitchen. We compost and recycle.
The room is upstairs and we can provide some basic furniture if you’d like.
No pets please, though we are open to another cat if yours is also an indoor/outdoor cat (our comes and goes through a cat door in the summers).
Rent is $600/month. It includes all utilities and wifi. A $600 damage deposit and a referral from a previous landlord and roommate is also required.
About the roomies
We are three friendly and easy-going queer people in our late 30s (and a fluffy cat!) who are looking for another roommate to share our cute character home in Ritchie/Hazeldean. We’ve been living together for around 8 years, and two of us are married. We are nature lovers, two of us are year-round cyclists who were recently diagnosed autistic, two are bookworms/nerds, and one is an artist and a theology student! We all enjoy playing board games together! We are not partiers, and an introvert would fit in better than an extrovert. No smokers, no drugs.
We are looking for a quiet, kind, mature, and responsible person who is a clear communicator. We are hoping to find another long-term roommate who has lived with other people before. We are seeking someone who wants to contribute to caring for our home so that we’re all sharing the load. We would like to meet you and show you our home if you are interested!
