About the roomies
You will have 2 roomies + a resident kitty!
Jasper (they/them) is an international student from the U.S., here to complete their master’s degree. They value honest & direct communication, accountability, equity, & creating a relaxed, easygoing environment. Jasper has sensory sensitivities, but otherwise has no dietary restrictions.
Kate (they/them/she/her) is a Canadian transplant from Nova Scotia, also here to complete their master’s degree. They value honesty, integrity, community, connection, & envinronmental conscientiousness. Kate has a dairy-free diet.
Benny is Jasper’s 7-year-old cat! He’s a sweet orange boy who spends most of his time lazing around from napping spot to napping spot. He can also be found chasing a laser pointer, playing with wand toys, hiding in his kitty tunnels, or snoopervising from high vantage points. He’s a cuddly boy, so he loves to lounge on our laps, across our shoulders, or just hang out nearby to see what we’re up to. Benny is very social & loves making friends, though he does best with people who respect him & his boundaries (don’t we all?). While Benny loves people, he is not friendly to other animals, so other pets at this time!
About our dynamic: We are both master’s students studying counselling psychology: art therapy! As grad students, we value body doubling and supporting each other through our intense studies. We enrich each other’s lives by engaging in conversations about areas of study, nerding out over shared dinners. If you love stimulating, academic conversations–especially regarding the arts or the social sciences–then you might be the one! We value collective living by sharing groceries, meals, household responsibilities & chores, and supporting each other as needed. We take turns making dinner & we clean the house together each Sunday. We hope to include you in this collective dynamic & create a mutually supportive environment! We recognize that everyone has their own talents & skills, and we look forward to embracing what you bring to the table! When we are not studying, we like to get out and explore the city & the surrounding mountains. We are both homebodies, so we also love to spend time soaking up Benny-cuddles, playing video games or card games, reading, & making art.
What we need from you: Grad student preferred; undergrad student or working professional also accepted. Cat-friendly, but no other pets. Queer or queer-friendly. Neurodivergent or neurodivergent-friendly. Community-oriented & open to sharing household responsibilities. Environmentally conscientious. Long-term preferred; you’ll be added to the lease. Singles only; no couples. Female preferred; others accepted if you’re a good fit. No smoking indoors.
If this sounds like you, then send us a message!
