The room includes exclusive use of the den in the unit; both rooms are east-facing. The entire unit is about 1,000 square feet, on the 11th floor of a 12 story condo building, in the heart of the Canary District. Corner unit with floor to ceiling windows. Nice and bright, even in the middle of the winter. Only a block away from the 504A streetcar, a couple of blocks from the Distillery District, and a grocery store (Marche Leo’s) in the building. The common area is mostly furnished, but your bedroom and den are completely unfurnished. You would also have your own 4-piece bathroom for your exclusive use. Hydro, water, and internet are not included in the rent, but I will cover these expenses.
I currently occupy the main bedroom with an ensuite. I’d prefer not to have to switch, but I’m happy to if that’s a sticking point.
I would be your only roommate (unless you count my cat as well). I’m a professional with fairly typical office hours (though sometimes a bit long). Outside of work, I am in several sports leagues that get me out of the house 2+ nights per week. I also do go out on some weekends, though I seldom have people over beforehand. If so, it would just be a small group of friends. I also try to be as quiet as possible when coming home. I don’t drink, but I’m fine with a roommate who does. Ideally I’m looking for someone with a similar lifestyle/temperament to me, but I’m also pretty east going. My cat is a 13-year-old domestic long-hair. She is very friendly, not destructive or anything, and not aggressive. She does sometimes yell in the morning for food, but otherwise she sleeps most of the day. I have cat allergies myself (pretty minor), but haven’t had an issue with her. All of her stuff is currently in my bedroom, with the only thing I would want to put in the common area is a cat tree (I don’t have one right now, but I’d like to get one eventually). Besides that, my hobbies include gaming (mostly grande strategy games), curling, working out, softball, rowing, reading, and watching reality TV (mostly Traitors and Drag Race right now).
