About the room
This is the front bedroom of the house. It has high ceilings and faces west so you get great afternoon and evening sunlight. We are right near College and Bathurst, so great for grabbing TTC. Near Kensington Market and Little Italy. This apartment is a rare find with a large kitchen, bathroom with in-house washer and dryer, fun living room and an open back deck balcony. The house is long so it feels like each roommate has their own area of the house (it doesn’t feel like you are on top of each other). The room already comes furnished, so you don’t have to move anything. It comes with a double bed frame and mattress, a couch that folds into a bed for a weekend visitor, a bookshelf, wooden trunk, two bedroom side tables, a long wooden dresser with a mirror, hooks to hang coats, and a hang rack for clothes. - Note that the site won’t let me upload videos, but if someone is interested in the room we can facetime and I can show you the room currently and explain what furniture will be coming in (furniture hasn’t been moved in yet!)
- Please Note: Anyone interested in living in this home will need to be comfortable leaving their bedroom door open when they can (of course, not all the time—when you’re sleeping or need privacy, that’s completely okay).
Our little fluffy housemate, Luna, is a kitty whose entire world is this apartment. To give her the best life possible, we ask that roommates are comfortable with her wandering into their room to nap on the bed, sit on the windowsills, and watch the birds and trees outside.
Everyone in the house generally has an open-door policy when we’re home or away, as it allows Luna to explore, lets natural light move through the house, and helps with airflow. That said, everyone’s bedroom is absolutely their own private space, and we all respect each other’s belongings and boundaries. Open doors are about sharing the home with Luna—not about giving up your privacy.
- Also note: the only bill that isn’t included is Hydro (which is split between roommates and averages between $20-$30 per person a month. Internet is included.
About the roomies
Your roommates are Emily and Alex. Emily is an art psychotherapist, nature and forest therapy guide, and an artist. They work a few days from home, seeing clients virtually. Emily likes going outside, cooking, and is very passionate about taking care of the planet. Alex is a PhD student and therapist. Alex likes playing Catan and knows all the good films. Alex is quiet and kind and spends most of their time in their room seeing clients or going for runs outside. There is a little kitty named Luna in the house who is super sweet and would love to cuddle you.
