About the room
Welcome to a soulful home in a quiet neighborhood in Colwood with access to the Galloping Goose and Hatley Memorial Gardens.
You can easily walk to Westshore Mall and Belmont Market, Langford Centre, and Royal Roads. The heart of this home is the kitchen. As a professional chef, I’m often found dry-roasting spices or prepping vibrant meals. While this is an independent living situation, while I am cooking in the kitchen you there will be delicious, family-style meals ready to be shared during the week.
This rental is for a sunny upstairs room with a shared kitchen, bathroom, den, dining area, and laundry. Each bedroom has its own closet, space for a bed, dresser, and desk. The spacious kitchen has a lot of storage and a dishwasher. The dining room is attached to the kitchen. The laundry is in the sunroom, attached to the kitchen. We are situated at the end of a quiet cul de sac where kids play in the street.
Fully furnished. Family friendly vibes. Great neighborhood and space for kids. Pet friendly. We just had a pregnant cat come into our home last night to nest. It just happened. We have chickens and a big beautiful garden that is only getting bigger.
There is garden space for sharing if you have a green thumb.
This truly is a lovely and quiet location, at the end of a cul de sac. Looking for friendly, calm, intentional individuals.
About the roomies
Welcome home.
We are a small, vibrant family (single dad with two kids half-time, aged 10 and 12) moving through a beautiful season of transition. We are really hoping to share space with grounded, intentional, and conscientious individuals: positive people who value gratitude more than grievance. The type of people who value household stewardship—whether that’s making a pot of coffee for the house in the morning or rinsing your dishes and putting them in the dishwasher. We want everyone living here to feel respected and appreciated and to pay their bills without any hassle.
We look for people who are naturally considerate and observant; those who enjoy laughter and good company but deeply respect the need for a quiet, private sanctuary. We aren’t perfect and expect you’re a work in progress, too—we value that shared journey of learning and evolving.
I am a chef who loves food and community, and we have clear structures in place to simplify life and minimize friction. We look forward to meeting you.
