About the room
Females Only please
The apartment is a spacious, bright 5 ½ (with a double room) on the 3rd floor. It’s located in Verdun, 5 minutes walking from Verdun metro and Wellington Street with many shops, cafes, and restaurants. It’s also a 10-minute walk from the river, which has a beautiful park for walking, biking, and skiing in the winter!
The private room available is next to the kitchen in the back of the apartment. It is furnished (optional – I can remove if you prefer to bring your own furniture) with a bed, desk, bookcase, tv, and has a spacious closet.
The apartment has a shared kitchen, bathroom, little office space, and living room. It has a front and back balcony.
Two quirks of the apartment:
- The dryer is in the room for rent (covered in the photo with the tv on top). I rarely use it in the warm months. In the winter, I usually use it once a week.
- My bedroom is in the double room connected to the living room. I separate these with a curtain. That said, the living room remains a shared space (outside of sleeping hours :))
Co-living: I like to maintain a calm, clean home environment. I’m looking for someone that values a peaceful, friendly, and respectful co-existence. You have a stable routine, comfortable with a quiet home on weeknights, and who communicates openly if anything comes up. I enjoy sharing a dinner or coffee here and there but also value privacy and time alone to unwind.
I usually work from home 2 days per week and have activities after work, so during the workweek I’m out of the house quite a bit. It may not be a good fit if you WFH full-time.
Property rules: No smoking or cannabis use is permitted in the apartment.
About the roomies
Originally from Nova Scotia, I’ve been living in Montreal for 10 years. I work in the international development sector. In my free time, I enjoy dancing (samba and salsa these days!), live music, fitness, reading, gardening, long walks around the city, travelling and spending time with friends.
I speak (in order of fluency :D) English, Spanish, Italian, and French and learning Portuguese this year!
If this sounds like a good fit, I’d love to hear a bit about you and what you’re looking for!
