Hello! We are 4 Sheridan students urgently looking for a roommate for our basement room. We are renting a townhouse by the Oakville hospital and splitting it between 5 people. The townhouse is a brand new build with built in smart features. It is a 4 bed, 3.5 bath, + basement with updated appliances and a laundry+dryer unit.

The space is an unfinished basement room that we are renovating to be move in ready by July. Rent is $740 a month + utilities. Utilities will be 5 ways equally between all roommates.

While the basement room is technically unfinished it has effective power, lighting, and a strong WiFi signal. The insulation is sealed and the vents and water heater give off a low white noise. You would share a bathroom with one other person. My roommate’s and I will cover the costs for the reno and the room will be move in ready, and at worst semi move in ready. We plan to lay down foam mats and tenant friendly floors as well as putting up false walls to cover the insulation. The machinery would be covered and the room would be made as cozy as possible for the tenant.

Some furniture would be included with the room. It belongs to the landlord who has been kind enough to lend it to us. This includes a queen size mattress, a bed frame, desk, and bedside tables.

The 4 of us are Sheridan students renting a townhouse and looking for our 5th! We all use the shared spaces and love hanging out and having people over when we aren’t swamped with assignments. This is a queer and disability proud household and we tolerate no hate to our community.
