Room for rent in Beautiful OAKBAY! PLEASE READ AD FULLY:

A large bedroom is available for SHORT TERM RENT on the upper floor of a character home in beautiful OAKBAY. It is on the second floor of the house, you will share the washroom with just one other person. The room measures 13’6“X13’, it is Fully furnished. The house is located a 5 minute walk to a bus stop. 15 minutes by bus to downtown Victoria and similarly 15 minutes by bus to UVIC.

It is Literally a 5 minute walk to WILLOWS BEACH; A 10 minute walk to Oak Bay Village where you will find a Pharmacy, all banks, a grocery store, restaurants, coffee shops, library; a 10 minute walk to the Oak Bay Recreation Centre and Save-On Foods grocery store.

On street parking is available for one vehicle.
WiFi, sheets and towels are provided. Laundry and kitchen are shared with others. You get to use a TV and a small Fridge in your own room. We have 2 small, gentle dogs but they are not allowed on the upper floor where your room is and you will not be disturbed by them.

Hi, My name is Jon and I currently rent this room, I’m moving out for 3 months from July 1st until October 1st to take care of my health concerns. The tenancy agreement is SHORT TERM - month to month. Rent is due on 1st of each month and a deposit equivalent to 15 days rent ($400) is required to confirm the place. A rental agreement will be signed and a copy given to you. The deposit will be returned to you upon inspection of the room when you move out provided you give 1 month notice if moving out prior to October 1st.

The landlady is in her 70’s, She lives on the main floor of the house with two small dogs. There is one European gentleman who is already renting a room on the upper floor and you’d share the washroom with him. He is quiet and minds his own business but is a good conversationalist if you’re up for chats and also a gymnast who exercises regularly.

This will not be a good fit if you’re into partying, drink heavily or use marijuana frequently, strictly no smoking on property. If you enjoy a drink in the comfort of your room without disturbing anyone, that would be fine. Nobody else drinks or smokes in the house. Also, You are expected to clean up after yourself when cooking or using the washroom. Do reach out to me if this sounds like a good fit for you, I’ll set up a viewing.
