About the room
I’m currently seeking a roommate to move into the second bedroom of my 2 bedroom + 1 bath apartment which is located on the main floor of a 2 storey house in the West end of Toronto. It’s lovely spacious apartment (over 900 square feet) with a giant open concept living room. Large windows at the front of the house brings in lots of light and there are additional windows distributed throughout the rest of the house. Large kitchen with gas stove. Bathroom consists of glass shower with water fall shower head and lots of storage. Bedroom is on the smaller side but comes with installed large mirrored closet with amazing storage. The second bedroom will be unfurnished however the rest of the apartment is fully furnished as I’ve lived in the apartment for years now. I’m more than happy to share any kitchen utensils, appliances etc. (mi casa es su casa ). So this would be an ideal spot for those who want to move in without investing in home furnishings (other than bed) and kitchen ware. Bedroom window looks out towards the garden at the back of the house. The apartment is located on the main floor of a house which has an incredible amount of outdoor space. Attached to the apartment is a lovely porch and a front lawn where my awesome upstairs neighbour Emily has cultivated a kick ass vegetable garden. There is also a garden at the back of the house with hammock, perrenial garden, flower garden, seating area, BBQ, and dining table. There’s lots of comfy outdoor seating and a dining table. ** Please note that the photos attached, other than the one of my kitties and me in the living room (albeit my hair is a lot longer now 😹), are from an online tour of the apartment taken when the house was up for sale a few years ago. The apartment is furnished differently than what you can see from the photos (less cluttered, more mid century modern vibes and even cuter in my humble and very biased opinion). Interested applicants will of course be given a full tour.
About the roomies
My name is Cass, I am 30 years old and non-binary (they/she pronouns) who is a York university graduate student. I’m an art lover and a massive nerd who always seems to find themselves back at school in some capacity. Mental health and community are very important to me and because of this I work very hard to keep a home that is always a safe and healing place particularly for BIPOC, neurodivergent, queer and trans folx. I have two kitties who are siblings/twins and are 2 years old. They are my beloved foster fails and are honestly the most amazing cats. They are gentle, sweet and playful with the most delightful personalities. They bonded very much with my previous roommate so it is extremely important to me that the next person who moves in and joins our home adores cats and benefits from (rather than tolerates) having kitties around.
