About the room

Beautiful spacious room for rent in a Victorian style home With hardwood floor, tall window, high ceilings with a dimmable chandelier. No closet unfortunately, but the current roomate is open to possibly offering their rack, and a freestanding wardrobe!

The shared spaces on the main level of the house are a welcoming foyer, a bright large living room, a large kitchen, a second common room which leads to a mudroom with a 2/pc washroom and the rear entrance.

The second level has a stackable washer/dryer and a large and spacious 4 piece bathroom.

Parking available for 1 car, but it is a single-lane driveway and we have another car here part-time, so it will require strong communication and coordinating! (Currently, we have access to a neighbour’s lot, but will lose that in the next 6 months).

The house is in downtown Guelph, near Goldie mill Park. Room available for July 1st. Month-to-month rent

About the roomies

About the roommates: The house is shared with 3 women/NB folks and 1 man in their mid 20’s-early 40s, and most people are queer/2SLGBTQ+. One other roommate is a nursing school student and the rest of us are working professionals. Everyone’s fairly quiet and keeps to themselves for the most part, but is friendly, chill, and keeps the space pretty clean.

I personally am really into arts and creativity, community, dancing, and nature. I’m happy with roommates that like to chat and hang out/laugh, do craft nights, share a meal every so often, or go on adventures. Though I’m also super happy to keep to myself and live more parallel! I work part time from home during the day/early eve.

The place is great for a working professional/mature student, though students are also welcome.

I found the site to be clear of scams which is very much appreciated since there's so much garbage out there on the web.

Flawless design and user-friendly. I hope people really catch on to this app because it is well put together for people looking for affordable housing.

Roomies is my #1 go to whenever I want to list a room for rent because I always have a better experience with them than any of the other sites out there.
