ISO: a likeminded diva to move in and take over the second bedroom in my cute basement walk out apartment. (Pics below) (+pics of me, my kitty and me doing things lol)
Location&transit: in The Village a 5min walk to Bloor Yonge station and 3 mins to Wellesley station so it’s perfect for getting pretty much anywhere in the city under 30mins. I’ve lived here three years already and honestly the price, location and space can’t be beat. 99 walk and bike rating and a 100 transit rating. Right near a bunch of restaurants, hospital row and fire stations nearby so we are super safe. Also Yorkville is a 15 min walk away!
The apartment: is roughly 800sq ft. With a shared bathroom and two private rooms (I will be in one). All utilities are included and laundry is in the house for free. Only thing we’d have to pay separate for is wifi and cable. $975 each but we will be paying the landlord directly as one so it’s $1950. The spot is rent controlled and the neighbours are so sweet. Central Ac/heating is in the whole house and the hot water works really well too. The place will be slowly furnished as my current roommate owns most of the furniture but I’ll be buying things throughout July / August which is why I’d love to find someone soon so we can collaborate on design choices. I love a warm and cozy but clean and modern organic look with lots of lamps and lights and artwork. Also for best practice there will be a chore list that we can rotate just to help with tasks around the house but I am very good on keeping things neat and tidy as I really love having a clean space to relax. Its important that we both are good at communication, reliability (rent) and being respectful of each others spaces as to make sure we can safely and happily live together.
Your room : will come unfurnished, it has a large window that lets in south west lighting, can fit a king or queen sized bed, nightstand, a full hanging closet/dresser, a vanity/desk & chair. Also there’s still space for a bookshelf or mirrors if you’d like.
Me: I’m a 25/26 year old in nursing who works 12 hour shifts 3-4 days a week, other than that I’m probably having a girls night out, catching up on sleep or checking out a new restaurant. I love to go out and have fun but I also really value my quiet and cozy time spent at home. Ideally i would love to find a roomate who’s open to being friends and hanging out but if not, I’m okay with coexisting respectfully and being considerate of each other either way.
