The Agreement (Please Read): This is not a standard room rental or sublet. We will be signing a 1-year joint lease agreement beginning in August. This means we will be equal co-tenants sharing the apartment, and we will both be responsible for taking care of the household and shared spaces.

The room is unfurnished with easy-to-clean hardwood floors, a closet, and window screens (I can provide a temporal bed with bedding while you settle in). You will have your own bathroom. The rest of the apartment is fully furnished and move-in ready. We have a bright, large living room with a cozy gas fireplace for the winter, and a private balcony for the summer. The open-concept kitchen has lots of cupboard storage, a breakfast bar, and white appliances including a dishwasher and microwave.

Perks: We have an in-suite stacked washer and dryer, so you never have to leave the apartment to do laundry! The Location: This location is convenient if you are an UoA student or work nearby. We are only an 8-minute walk to the University of Alberta and two blocks away from the University Hospital and LRT. It is incredibly walkable (Walk Score of 93), with trendy Whyte Ave, shopping, cafes, and River Valley trails just steps away.

I’m looking for a responsible and respectful roommate (ideal for another independent graduate student, university staff member, or worker). Someone who likes to have a joyful and peaceful home environment.

The Details: Rent: $945/month (parking and water included)+ shared utilities. Electricity, wifi internet and gas are shared upon monthly consumption with me (aprox 60-80cad each person/month).

Hi! I’m a graduate student at the University of Alberta currently in my second year of research in communications and technology master degree, I have a mix schedule between remote and in-person work at the university, I like to hike, swim and I’m currently trying to do some gardening at the university. Also, I like to cook over the weekend -when I have more time! I’m also respectful of shared spaces and like to keep things clean, sometimes I do play piano, as I have it in the living room and listen to music, but most of the time I use headphones to not disturb neighbours and to keep this a quiet place! you can relax, focus, or unwind after a long day on campus!.
