About the room
Hello. This ad will get updated. We are two dudes in our mid to late twenties looking to rent a spare room to another student.
The room - Pictures will be uploaded later as I’m waiting for the current occupant to move out. Half bathroom with a sink and toilet attached to the room. Lots of room for a bed and desk. Comes with a nice sized closet. West facing window so it’ll stay a little cooler in the summer (I’d still recommend getting some curtains).
Property/Area - It’s an affordable apartment with a 2 minute walk to the bus stop and a strip mall with a barbershop, a circle k, a dive bar, really good and cheap pizza, and one of the best Mexican restaurants in town (The 3 Amigos). The bus takes you straight to southgate station, which makes this an ideal place to live if you’re planning on using a lot of public transit. The people at the apartment are usually chill. There are a couple interesting people around here, but most of the residents here are small families. Their kids play outside a lot when it is sunny, which I think is an indicator of a fairly safe area. The apartment has 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bath, a kitchen/dining room and a living area with a balcony facing the parking lot. It’s on the 3rd floor, and currently we have no neighbours below us and a new family above us. The new family has proven to be far quieter than the previous family which we are very thankful for.
About the roomies
My name is Arik. I’m 28 and in my second year of an English major at the UofA. My roommate is named Ashton, and he is a business graduate, also from the UofA. I have a young cat named Myshka. She is a very friendly short-haired, black cat who doesn’t shed too much. She hasn’t been allowed in the room we are offering, so if you have an aversion or allergy to cat hair, this room will have very little (I hope). Ash and I are very quiet. We haven’t really had any parties here and I don’t think were really planning on it. I’ll have my girlfriend over a bit once the school year starts up again, but we don’t usually have many people over. If you don’t like cats, this might not be the place for you.
