Vic45 Urban Farm is taking applications for a single person to rent a room coming available July 15th, 2026
Looking for a mature responsible person to help round out a mixed somewhat cooperative household in the Fraserview/Killarney neighborhood of East Van. Please note this is for a single person only.
The home has five bedrooms with two full bathrooms, a full kitchen upstairs with a partial kitchen in the lower level and full laundry with designated times.
The theme here is about zero waste and growing food and evolving into a cooperative/collective style of housing. If you are into the environment and would like to participate in gardening to eat cheaper this would be a fit. However, no obligation on that. There is room for bike storage and some personal belongings.
The home is on a large property in East Vancouver with plenty of transit to all points in the Vancouver, Burnaby & Richmond areas with 5 major bus routes including two βExpressβ buses & an βNβ bus that goes 24 hours. Many amenities including a multitude of traditional and ethnic shopping & restaurants, medical, dental, etc. plus 2 community centres and a public library all within easy walking distance. Also close to Langara University and would suit a student as well as those on working/holiday visa.
The home is a quiet non-party one and the people are friendly but we have our own lives. As well it is a non-smoking(including e-cigs & 420, and other combustibles) property although there is a covered smoking area in the car port at the back of the property. No pet policy as well per landlords request.
The bedroom is fully furnished with a double bed, chest of drawers, desk & bookcase and is on the main floor in the northeast corner of the home with a view to the backyard gardens.
Rent is $900.00+1/2 security deposit and includes utilities & internet.
References are a must.
If interested in viewing please write back about yourself and why you believe you would be a good fit.
