House Details • No pets • No smoking or weed inside (yard is okay) • Calm, respectful, tidy home • Large backyard with lots of gardening space and planters for growing fruits and veggies • long term or short term is ok but would prefer long term • Cherry blossoms in the front yard and on both sides of the street in spring • half month’s rent required for deposit

About the Home / Roommate Vibe I’m looking for someone clean, respectful, and easygoing—ideally someone who values a clean space, doesn’t smoke or drink excessively, is proactive about keeping spared spaces tidy, and enjoys a peaceful living environment. The backyard is big and sunny with planters and plenty of space for gardening and soaking up the sun! Our street also has cherry blossoms on both sides, so it gets extra pretty in spring.

I work in the VFX industry and play golf, and I also love video games, learning languages, crafting, and working out. My other roommate Mieke is a recent graduate of the SFU environmental planning master’s program. She’s currently working as a research assistant on a nature-based solutions project. In her free time she loves to draw and paint and is always down for a hike. Both Meike and I are usually at work during the week. We’re both pretty introverted - we aren’t besties but we are polite and friendly, and don’t expect to be immediate best friends with a new person or do tons of stuff together but always happy to play it by ear/comfort levels. We are both people with good mental health habits and would love to keep that energy going.  Please note: there is house construction nearby that can be heard during the day, and this would not be a good fit for someone who is very sensitive to noise.
