Hey, my name’s Elizabeth. I’m 28 years old and looking to set roots in Montreal. I was born in Ontario and grew up there. Two years ago, I moved to Calgary to help family but have been dreaming of going to Montreal. I’m not fluent in French, so I will be taking the full-time Canadian citizen government language classes so I can find work sooner rather than later (and eventually my own rental). Needless to say, I won’t be able to speak French within the home for the first couple months! I have a small ford fiesta car and only luggage and a big bin container coming with me. I went to college and grduated with a marketing diploma. Hobbies include playing guitar (I own an amp, but I haven’t plugged it in several years because I prefer quiet playing), hitting the gym a few times throughout the week, and altering clothes via sewing (I don’t have my own machine anymore, but hopefully I will soon). When I lived in the GTA I used Roomies to find a housemate and really enjoyed the experience of a semi-relaxed and easy-going living situation. I’m famously a homebody and make a point to be home for the night before 9pm and I love to go to bed early. I really do love peace and quiet, so if youre the type of person who doesn’t need or want frequent chatting, then I think we would work well together. While I am hoping to be on Montreal island, I’m also comfortable with Brossard, Longueuil, Sainte Catherine, etc. Français : Salut, je m’appelle Elizabeth. J’ai 28 ans et j’aimerais m’installer à Montréal. Je suis née en Ontario et j’y ai grandi. Il y a deux ans, j’ai déménagé à Calgary pour aider ma famille, mais je rêve depuis longtemps de m’installer à Montréal. Je ne parle pas couramment le français, alors je vais suivre les cours de langue offerts à temps plein par le gouvernement aux citoyens canadiens afin de pouvoir trouver du travail le plus tôt possible (et, à terme, mon propre logement). Inutile de préciser que je ne pourrai pas parler français à la maison pendant les deux premiers mois! J’ai une petite Ford Fiesta et je n’apporte avec moi que des bagages et un grand bac de rangement. J’ai fait des études collégiales et j’ai obtenu un diplôme en marketing. Mes passe-temps comprennent la guitare (j’ai un ampli, mais je ne l’ai pas branché depuis plusieurs années, car je préfère jouer en silence), aller au gym quelques fois par semaine et retoucher des vêtements à la couture (je n’ai plus ma propre machine, mais j’espère en avoir une bientôt). Quand j’habitais dans la région du Grand Toronto, j’ai utilisé Roomies pour trouver un colocataire et j’ai vraiment apprécié cette expérience de vie semi-décontractée et sans prise de tête. Je suis connue pour être casanière et je me fais un devoir de rentrer chez moi avant 21 h; j’adore me coucher tôt. J’apprécie vraiment le calme et la tranquillité; donc, si vous êtes le genre de personne qui n’a pas besoin ou qui ne souhaite pas discuter fréquemment, je pense que nous nous entendrions bien. Bien que j’espère vivre sur l’île de Montréal, je suis également à l’aise à Brossard, Longueuil, Sainte-Catherine, etc.
