Description

I keep to myself and try to be accommodating to others’ needs while maintaining reasonable boundaries, and in doing that I’ll more easily respect my roommate’s boundaries. I have no real issues with compromise as my lifestyle at home isn’t rigid or demanding.

My dog, a german shepherd mixed with golden retriever, is as chill as I tend to be and he only ever gets excited when he’s expecting someone at the door (because of the routine he became used to prior to our moving) which I have corrected him on numerous times successfully. He’s relatively quiet, but he is a dog so he’ll bark sometimes. When I’m not around, he becomes reclusive and he’s fine in my bedroom for as long as I’m out. He’ll be nervous at first in the new space so he’ll be a little rowdy but when he gets comfortable, he’ll be sleeping. He gets anxious if left at the door for too long so if you must let him out into the house, don’t allow him there much. I don’t mind you two getting acquainted but I also prefer if he stays where I know he is if you don’t notify me first where you might take him.

I understand the basic necessities many need for a properly functioning household and try to fulfill those needs when I best can (cleanliness/organization which is the easiest for me, having a relaxed, comfortable environment that’s considerate of my housemates and my neighbours, the at times desperate need for a comforting meal after a long day).

I groom my dog myself since he sheds a lot and have recently started taking him to professionals. I’ll try my best to rid the place of any residual dog fur. I’ll be out of the house for 8+ hours a day by myself, maybe even longer when I want to travel after coming home and that’s almost always with my dog. When he’s home without me, he will be in my room which he will quickly grow accustomed to. When we’re home together, he’ll be with me in my room or in the rest of the house where we’re allowed just chilling or outside on a walk. He is friendly however to people who are friendly to him otherwise he’ll just ignore you, so you can let him out if you want but he needs to be watched occasionally just like any other young dog. He’s not particularly good around small children, but he LOVES all animals, cats especially. He’s currently still being trained, but he’s been taught all the basics and there’s a lot of mutual respect and love between us and even more patience to be given from me.
