🌈 About Us – Jakob & Alexandra

Hi there! We’re Jakob and Alexandra, a couple looking for a cozy, safe, and welcoming home for about three months to start, with the possibility of staying longer if it’s a good fit.

We’re both LGBTQ+ friendly (and part of the community) and feel most at home in inclusive, compassionate, and queer-positive spaces.

💫 Who We Are

Jakob is a lifelong gamer, Warhammer and board game enthusiast, and a big fan of anime, Star Wars, and all things pop culture. He’s preparing to study carpentry and loves creating things with his hands. Jakob lives with a severe learning disability, including dyslexia, dyscalculia, Tourette’s, and other learning difficulties that make certain tasks take more time — but he approaches life with patience, humor, and creativity. He moves at his own pace and thrives in calm, understanding spaces.

Alexandra is from Mexico and in the process of immigrating to Canada. She’s a writer and an intellectual at heart, deeply passionate about understanding the world and the people in it. Her interests include anthropology, sociology, psychology, gender studies, philosophy, theology, history, and political science — she loves meaningful conversations about culture, society, and what it means to be human.

Alexandra also lives with Autism PTSD and a mobility issue with her sciatica, so a calm and accessible space is essential. She finds grounding in baking, cooking, cleaning, and taking long baths — creating comfort and warmth wherever she goes.

Length of stay: About 3 months, with the option to discuss staying longer if things feel right Pets: Jakob is allergic to furry animals, so only reptiles, fish, or possibly hypoallergenic dogs are okay Community: Queer-inclusive or LGBTQ+ majority preferred Environment: Peaceful, respectful, and understanding of physical and mental health needs
