Roberto & Margaux

Hello,

We are Margaux and Roberto, we are both in Canada on Working Holiday visas from our respective countries, France and Italy. Together, we are looking for a furnished appartment for three months, available as soon as possible. Our backgrounds are different, so let us introduce ourselves separately.

Margaux: I’m 24, I lived in the city of Rennes in France. I arrived two months ago in Canada, after asking my French employer for a break in my career as a computer-science engineer, job that I was doing for almost two years. This break is meant for me to make new experiences in a new environment, and thanks to them, I now have the opportunity to do so for a little bit more than one year. So far, I have mainly enjoyed the “holiday” part of my visa, visiting the country from the east to the west coast. This trip was perfect to discover the overall of the country, the different cities with their different environment, and to help me choose the perfect one to start my work experience in Canada. Vancouver was my last destination, and after spending some time here, it looks like the perfect place to settle down for a longer time. A three-month rental would be ideal for me because after that period, I’ll be able to decide whether I would like to spend the rest of my stay in this city, or choose to try another experience in another one. As this would be my first rental in Canada, I don’t have any Canadian rental references to share yet. However, I lived in my previous accommodation in France for almost two years, and I would be glad to provide my previous landlord’s contact information as a reference.

Roberto: I’m 28, I’ve been living in Calgary for the past year. I came to Canada hoping to gain new experiences abroad, and now I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to do so over this year. After gaining a lot of different experiences in Calgary, I would like to try one last experience and discover another Canadian city before going back to Italy. Vancouver feels like a great choice for me, especially because of the diversity of opportunities available in a larger and more dynamic city. Also, my Canadian work experience should make it easier for me to find a new job in Vancouver. A 6-month rental would be great for me, as I plan to return to Italy right after this experience. During this last year, I had the occasion to rent an accommodation in Calgary, and I would therefore be happy to provide my previous landlord’s contact information as a reference.

We met in Calgary a few weeks ago and quickly got along well. After spending some time together and sharing a few experiences, we decided that it would be a great opportunity for both of us to discover Vancouver together. We get along very well and feel comfortable sharing the accommodation for these three months. Together, we would like to discover the city in a touristic way in the first place, but mostly to dive into this environment as workers. So we hope our description matches your expectations.
