Looking for a Room or Roommate in Saskatoon 

I’m looking for either a room to rent or a compatible roommate to find a place with. I could get a place on my own, but I have some bigger financial and career goals I’m working toward, and sharing housing with the right person makes more sense than spending more than I need to on rent. 

I work full-time (usually more than full-time) and will also be starting Reserve training soon. The east side would be convenient for work, but my training is off Idylwyld, so I’m flexible on location for the right place.

I’d ideally like to stay under $900/month including parking, heat, electricity, and internet. I also need somewhere to plug in my vehicle during the winter and air conditioning, or at least a bedroom that stays reasonably cool in the summer.

A bit about me:

• Full-time employed with steady income and happy to provide references
• Clean, respectful and pay my bills on time
• Thoroughly screened for government work, so yes, I have a clean criminal record
• Social drinker
• I smoke cigarettes, but never indoors, and quitting is one of my goals
• Absolutely no hard drugs
• I enjoy music and like to crank it occasionally, but headphones work just fine
• Motivated and working toward some bigger financial and career goals 

I’m not looking for a party house, but I’m not looking for a monastery either. I don’t care if a roommate has a few drinks or is 420 friendly, as long as smoking is kept outside. With work and Reserve training, I’ll have a busy schedule, so being able to come home and get a good night’s sleep is important.

Mostly, I’m looking for someone easy-going and responsible who cleans up after themselves, respects each other’s space and belongings, pays their share of the bills on time, and doesn’t bring a bunch of drama home. We don’t need to be best friends, but being able to hang out once in a while would be great too.

I’m open to renting an existing room or finding the right roommate and looking for a place together.
