Ashlyn Billings
Female · 21 years · Grocery Store/Full Time Student
Looking in: Nanaimo, Regional District of Nanaimo, BC.
Description
Hi! I’m Ashlyn, a full-time student at Vancouver Island University (VIU) in Nanaimo. I’m moving to Nanaimo soon to eliminate my commute from North Cowichan, transferring my grocery store job to a local Nanaimo location (evening shifts), and excited to settle into a stable, relaxed home closer to campus. About me and why I’d be a great roommate:
Tidy but relaxed — I clean up after myself right away (dishes done ASAP, no lingering messes), but I’m not obsessive about perfection—just appreciate a neat, comfortable shared space. Quiet homebody with chill social vibes — Not into big parties or loud nights at all. I love cozy low-key hangouts like friend dinners, board games, or casual chats, but I respect privacy, quiet hours, and use headphones if studying late. Reliable and independent — Evening work + classes mean I’m out a lot during those times, but when home, I’m easygoing, drama-free, and give plenty of space. Rent/bills? Always on time—I’m looking for a full 1-year lease commitment for stability. Positive, considerate personality — No smoking, good sense of humor, and I keep household vibes peaceful.
What I’m looking for:
A private room in a shared house, townhouse, or apartment (ideally 2–3 bedrooms total) near VIU or central/south Nanaimo for easy campus access. (Unfurnished is better as I have all my own furniture) Budget: $800–$950/month for my portion (including utilities/Wi-Fi if possible—happy to discuss splits). Roommate preference: Female preferred for shared living comfort, but I’ve rented successfully with guys in the past—if we vibe well during a chat/meet-up, gender isn’t a dealbreaker. Responsible, kind, and similar energy: Clean-ish home, low-drama, respectful of quiet times, and open to a 1-year lease (or longer) for security. Bonus: Into occasional shared meals/games or just chilling independently—student or working professional welcome.
