Onyx

My name is Onyx, I’m non-binary and genderfluid and prefer they/them pronouns but will accept any. I’m 32 (going on 33 in August), queer, neurodivergent, disabled, and use a walker on an as needed basis.

I have a well behaved 2 1/2 year old fixed male cat who I can’t live without and is my emotional support animal. I’m currently on medical income support and don’t work, but I am in the process of gathering all the information I need to get onto AISH and then maybe a part time job.

I love video games, animals of all kinds (except spiders), the Marvel universes, Disney, Invader Zim, the DC universes, music, TV and movies. My hobbies include crafting, listening to music, spending time with friends and family, spending time with my cat Shadow and occasionally going to events with friends.

My cat Shadow is a 2 1/2 year old neutered male short haired black cat who gets along with other cats and so long as they respect his personal space, dogs too. We are working on him doing better with dogs that don’t understand the meaning of personal space haha.

I currently receive $1000/month from Income Support and can reasonably afford up to $825 including all utilities, Internet, and any possible pet fees. I do use cannabis for medical reasons, so I’m looking for somewhere I can at least be allowed to smoke/vape outside.

I do have my own furniture so unfurnished is needed, I have a mattress and box spring, a coffee table and 2 end tables that belonged to my grandparents, a small bookshelf, a nightstand, and 2 plastic three drawer storage organizers. I can put the coffee table and end tables in storage if need be.

I get along with pretty much anyone so long as there is mutual respect of both one another and of things like political views/values and religious views/values. I mostly keep to myself but am open to being friends with my roommates and just want a safe and comfortable place to live with my cat.
