Summer

Hi! My name is Summer, and I’ve been living in Calgary for a little over 2 years now. My current landlord recently increased the rent, but honestly I don’t feel the condition and location justify the new price anymore, especially since it’s also quite far from my workplace, so I’ve started looking for a new place to move.

I’m originally from Korea, and I can confidently say I’d be one of the best roommates you could ask for — responsible, clean, quiet, and respectful. I don’t smoke, do drugs, or party at all. I’m also very reliable with rent payments — I actually tend to pay a day early just for peace of mind.

I also have a Jindo dog that I brought from Korea. Jindos aren’t very well known outside Korea, but they’re a very calm, intelligent, and well-behaved breed. He’s quiet, clean, gentle, and not destructive at all. He has never bitten anyone, even jokingly, and he’s extremely smart and well trained. He actually dislikes baths, but if I simply say “bath time,” he walks into the bathtub himself and waits calmly 😅

He rarely barks unless he’s alerting to something, and he doesn’t shed heavily either — but even then, I always clean carefully so it never bothers the people I live with. He’s fully house trained and only goes to the bathroom outside. He even considers the yard part of “home,” so there would never be any mess or smell in the yard.

My current landlord originally did not allow pets either, but I asked them to meet my dog before deciding. After meeting him, they completely fell in love with him and felt comfortable allowing us to stay because they could tell he wouldn’t cause problems in the home.
