Hello, I’m Lux. I’m moving to Winnipeg from Minnesota for a 3 year grad program at U Manitoba. I would prefer to live close to campus, and am seeking housing with 1-2 roommates if it feels like a mutually supportive, great fit. I have a flexible move in date: sometime in August.

about me: -I’m in my mid-30s, nonbinary/trans, quiet, clean, responsible. -I’m an extroverted introvert: I thrive with time alone in quiet to recharge AND genuinely enjoy meeting/hanging with/getting to know people. -I love to cook and do dishes, and garden if it’s an option. -At home I spend a lot of time in quiet/silence, listening to music or audiobooks on my headphones, puttering, doing chores, reading, knitting, and, given I’ll be a student, probably a lot of studying.

what I’m seeking: -A quiet, mellow home where I can rest, unwind, be quietly creative, and do a lot of studying. -Ideally close to UManitoba: e.g. Waverly, Fort Richmond, Pembina Highway, maybe St. Vital or St. Norbert. -A private bedroom and bathroom and options for off-street/covered parking (I will have a car). -Close to parks, water, green space. A yard or balcony would be lovely!

Re: roommates- I am seeking out friendly introverts who thrive in quiet body doubling interactions, or in a home dynamic where we each have a lot of space to do our own thing but still find ways to connect and check-in. I would hope for a dynamic that includes mutual positive regard, established check-ins or occasional meals together to build relationship and a shared responsibility to build and maintain a home space that supports each of us.

-No pets, sadly, due to allergies. The exception to this is dogs with hair rather than fur (e.g. poodles).
