I’m Jim (He/They), I am originally from Winnipeg but just moved back from Vancouver Island after almost a decade. I am a Chef. I won 1st place in ‘Le Burger Week’ Winnipeg many years ago. I will probably spoil you with food every now and then. I have a lot of kitchen equipment for cooking and baking tasty creations. I like to craft homebrew beer/cider/sparkling wine every so often too. I have a kegging system for carbonating it, and then pour it from the tap in our own home. Its lovely, especially when hosting friends and family. I am a person of many hobbies and interests. I like house plants and gardening fruits/vegetables, not to mention 4 legal recreational Cannabis plants when I was in BC. I would like to find a place where I can continue growing. It is all contained inside a small grow tent and vented outside. I smoke and make edibles with my crops. There is usually more than enough to go around and am happy to share. I LOVE music. I play a few instruments as well. I’m also into politics, human rights, sciences, and gaming.

I have an indoor cat named Gizmo. He is my sweet handsome prince. It is important I find a safe space he feels happy in. He is a short hair tuxedo cat that doesn’t shed much, it’s great! He also has a fancy automatic litterbox, so odors are not an issue either.

When I’m not at work I spend a decent amount of time at home, so getting along with my roommates is pretty important to me. Respecting each others space and boundaries is crucial too. I’m pretty easy going, but I like to keep common areas somewhat tidy and organized and take initiative with chores/cleaning. Similar roommates would be nice. I like to let loose and have the occasional hangout every now and then too. No big partiers though please, I like to chill. I am also comfortable living with any gender identity. I have lived with many trans and queer people and am a strong ally. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🇵🇸
