I’m Jim (He/They), I am originally from Winnipeg but just moved back from Vancouver Island after 8 years. I am a Chef. I won 1st place in ‘Le Burger Week’ here many years ago. I will probably spoil you with food every now and then. I am a person of many hobbies and interests. I have a kegging system for brewing craft beer/cider, which we can pour from the tap in our own home. I also like house plants and gardening fruits/vegetables, not to mention my 4 legal Cannabis plants when I was in BC. I would like to find a place to continue doing so here too. I smoke and make edibles with my crops. There is usually more than enough to go around and am happy to share. I LOVE music. I play a few instruments as well. I’m also into politics, human rights, sciences, and gaming.

I spend a decent amount of time at home when not at work, so getting along with my roommates is very important. Respecting each others space and boundaries but also still having some home hangouts with each other every now and then is what I’m looking for. I’m pretty easy going, but I like to keep my spaces a little more tidy and organized and take initiative with chores/cleaning. Similar roommates would be nice. I am comfortable living with any gender identity. I have lived with many Trans and queer people and am a strong ally.

I have an indoor cat named Gizmo who is one of the most talented kitties in the world. He is trained to do cat tricks and catrobatics. He is my sweet handsome prince. It is important I find a home he feels safe and happy in too. He is a short hair tuxedo cat and doesn’t shed all that much. He also has a fancy automatic litterbox, so odor shouldn’t be of issue either.
