My name is Sarah. I’m 27 years old, born and raised on southern Van Isle. I’ve been living in Cumberland since May 2025, and am looking for a new place after my current lease ends at the beginning of August. I’m working for Comox Valley Kayaks in Courtenay, and am looking for somewhere new to land from August 1st until December (with the possibility of extension). My ideal situation: I’m a community-oriented people person, and would love to join a group of like-minded & like-valued roommates in a shared house. A bright, open space with alittle bit of garden space is a bonus! A little about me: I’ve worked previously in ocean science research, disaster & environmental education, as an apprentice electrician (so I’m handy and good with repairs/maintenance!), and led kayak trips around the inside waters between Van Isle and BC mainland. I love to learn new skills and figure out how to help people in new ways! Recent hobbies and practices include learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, turning a life-long hatred of running into an amicable relationship, creating art of all kinds, taking walks and hikes, gardening, and taking coaching/facilitation/trauma healing courses to support humans trying to stay human!
