Yu-Ping Lin

Hello! I’m from Taiwan and will be working at the University of Victoria as a Visiting Lecturer in Mandarin Chinese for this coming academic year.

I’ve lived independently in rented accommodation since university (in Taiwan), so I’m comfortable managing my own daily life and responsibilities. I make a habit of cleaning regularly and am considerate about keeping both my room and shared spaces clean and tidy.

I’m an ambivert, so I enjoy chatting with housemates and learning about different cultures and perspectives, while also valuing quiet time and personal space. Most of my time will be spent teaching at UVic and preparing lessons. I’m responsible, organized, respectful of shared spaces, and hope to find a peaceful and welcoming home during my stay in Victoria.
