I’m a respectful and easy-going person looking for a place to move into with my dog that I can afford with like-minded female or non-binary peeps. I like to play my acoustic guitar sometimes and play video games/watch TV. I hardly have visitors over but if I do we keep pretty quiet usually playing games or watching TV. I have lots of board games I’m down to share with my roommates. Would prefer a place with a backyard for my doggo. He is an anxious reactive rescue dog with some high needs as follows: he is sensitive to abrupt loud noises and rainy/stormy/windy weather. He does not like the doorbell or knocking (will bark a lot). He runs and barks at cars or people walking by our current front door because of the tall window beside it - hopeful that he will do this less without a window like that. He’s not trusting of strangers even if you hold your hand out, he needs treats and to be told to sit/give paw/lie down and then he will get comfortable with you enough to accept pets usually within a few minutes. He takes a bit longer to trust very tall men. He can go in his crate when maintenance people enter the home and will stay quiet when given treats, but he is not crate trained (cannot stay in there alone for hours). He will steal any food left unattended within his reach. Other pets would not be ideal unless they could meet and get along - smaller dogs seem to make him feel less threatened but he may not like sharing toys. Cats are a no-go as they seem to trigger his predator instincts unfortunately (unless we could get a place with separated units - I love cats!). When he feels safe, he’s a very sweet and calm dog.
