Ray Arseneault

I’m Ray Arseneault, I’m planning on moving to Calgary once I land a job there and quit my current one. I’m not 100% sure where exactly I would like to live in Calgary so I’m pretty open to most locations especially since I own a car so commuting for me won’t be an issue whether it’s downtown or further on the outskirts of Calgary. My budget for rent is pretty flexible however I’d like to try to keep it to $800-$1000 a month including parking costs, pet fees, and other utilities. Some non-negotiables for me include needs to have laundry in-suite as well as heat included in utilities.

A little bit about myself outside of work, I’m an artist and a part of the content creator scene. I’m a bit of a loner and can be blunt without realizing but everyone I know says I’m very friendly and considerate. I am a leftist, I believe in equality for everyone as well as doing what I can to reduce my own carbon footprint.

I am allergic to most fragrances (minus most candles for some reason) so a perfume free household would be preferable. I’m also unfortunately allergic to pretty much everything outside meaning dogs are a no.

My upsides are that I’m a very clean and tidy person. I’m very independent and have no issues taking care of myself and paying for my half of the rent. I’m very energy efficient making sure to always turn off anything that doesn’t need to be on.

My downsides are I do play a lot of video games so I can often get a bit loud. My idea of a relaxing evening is taking a long hot shower so I may steal all the hot water.

My ideal roommate would be someone who is also clean and I can count on to manage their own finances. I’m not too picky on gender though I’d prefer to room with another women. I am a leftist and require someone with a similar mindset as I don’t feel comfortable rooming with someone against human rights. If you also have a cat that’s great as long as they’re vaccinated :)
