Description

Disclaimer: since I consider myself a very considerate person, I should mention that I’m currently considering a few different options, either buying my own place, renting a bedroom with a private bathroom, or teaming up with someone to rent a 2 bed 2 bath together in Harbourfront. Since the buying option hasn’t exactly been looking ideal, I figured I’d put this ad up and see what’s out there.

Hey there!
Hope you’re doing well! 😊
I’ve been living in a bigger apartment for the past 4–5 years, but I recently gave my landlord notice that I’ll be moving out at the beginning of November. I was hoping my next move would be into a place I’d buy, but I haven’t been too happy with the monthly payments I’m seeing, so I’m exploring some other options for now.
I also have furniture for a 3 bedroom apartment. I can bring it with me if needed, or I’m also happy to get rid of it if it doesn’t work for the new place.

About me:

  • 35, straight male, single and work remotely for a consulting firm. So, if you’re looking for someone who commutes to a circus on a rusted bike shovelling elephant sh*t, also known as not working from home, sadly I don’t have such a fancy job 😆.
  • A drinker, but not a smoker. Not an alcoholic either 😅 But I can always hook you up with discounted LCBO gift cards, usually 15–20% off! I mean, unless you’re a shoplifter and consider stealing them a 100% discount.
  • Known as a pro deal hunter, and my friends save a lot from my findings. Ask me how I get La Roche-Posay sunscreen for about $20, my Rogers phone plan with 100GB for just $11, or IMAX movie tickets on weekends for only $12. Oh I pretty much forgot to say, I’m a millionaire…. But in PC Optimum points 😁.
  • Joined Costco pretty much just because of my roommates, and I used to drive them there to help with their shopping. Happy to keep that tradition going if you want. But don’t be fooled, I was just setting you up to think I have a car and then casually drop the “oh, and I need parking too” part.
  • Eating out only. Currently trying to convince myself that cooking is a healthier lifestyle choice.
  • Looking to share a place in a relatively new condo with maximum one person, and a private bathroom.
  • I work from home until noon, then usually head to Starbucks to work from there in the afternoons. I’m proud to say I’m a Starbucks Reserve member or as they put it, among their top 5% of members, or as I prefer to put it, unlike you 95% peasants 😌. Not sure if I’ll keep this habit at the new place, it all depends on the Starbucks around me and if they’re spacious enough to sit for long hours.
  • My friends describe me as a very calm and peaceful person. Got my car in 2019 and accidentally honked at someone for the first time over a year later, literally my first horn use. Honked again in 2023 and my friend still talks about it. They also say my sense of humour is sharp, as you’ve probably figured out by now.
  • A few years ago, I was asked by an ex roomie if I’m gay after a few months of living together. Apparently, being a very clean guy can be interpreted as being gay.
  • Have lived with 30+ roommates from all over the world, 18 females, and 14 males. You’ll be my 33rd roommate. I’ve lived with a couple, and twice with gay roomies. Currently living with a girl, but she’ll probably move in with her boyfriend although she does’t admit it 😁
  • After work you can find me pretty much just lying on the couch reading, especially Trump’s The Art of the Deal. And yep, my debts have been stacking up (╥_╥) Okay, getting a bit serious now, I’m into hiking and grabbed a national park annual pass last September, only to find out there aren’t many parks near Toronto. I love hitting up Cineplex for movie nights with friends and even organize the events myself! Last time it was for the Odyssey, and there were 20 of us watching the movie, though it was my birthday too. I’m also all about the spa life, especially Scandinave Blue Mountain Spa. Road trips are my jam. I’ve done over 20 since 2023, so unless you’ve got some hidden gems, I’m pretty sure I’ve hit all the drivable spots. My last trip was the east coast when I drove 11,183 km in 26 days!
  • Our friendship wouldn’t end once we move out, unless you want to. A roomie moved out last September (the girl in the profile picture) but we’re still in touch few times a week and we still see each other here and there. I still find her deals and she even got her new home internet under my account as I had a good offer. Last few months she was here we used to call each other friends than roomie.

I found the site to be clear of scams which is very much appreciated since there's so much garbage out there on the web.
