🌿 Looking for my peaceful little place to call HOME in St. Catharines! 🏡✨

Hey! 😊 I’m Laurie. I’m self-employed, I also work in home care, and I’m looking for a roommate/home situation that feels safe, peaceful, grounded and comfortable, somewhere we can both come home, exhale and just be ourselves.

I’m clean, responsible, respectful and pretty easygoing. I love a calm, natural environment, good energy, laughter, authenticity and people who respect each other’s space and boundaries. I also come with a very sweet, well-behaved indoor kitty 🐾🤍, so my new home needs to be cat-friendly!

🌱 One really important part of living with me:

I have diagnosed Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS), so I need my home to be fragrance-free, cigarette/smoke-free and maintained with simple, natural, fragrance-free products. This isn’t just a lifestyle preference for me, it’s an important health boundary that allows my home to truly be my safe space.

For cleaning, dishes and laundry, I keep things simple! Think vinegar + water and natural fragrance-free/unscented products such as Eco-Max Unscented cleaning products and dish soap rather than heavily scented or fragranced alternatives. 🌿🫧

The same goes for everyday household and personal products, fragrance-free and unscented is the way to my heart. 😂🤍

That means our home would need to stay free from things like scented laundry detergents and fabric softeners (Tide, Gain, Bounce, etc.), scented dish soaps, dryer sheets, scent boosters, plug-ins, Febreze, Lysol or fragranced cleaning sprays, air fresheners, perfumes/colognes, body sprays, scented lotions, heavily fragranced hair/body products, essential-oil diffusers, incense and scented candles.

🚭 And absolutely no cigarettes or smoking. A smoke-free living environment is a firm health boundary for me.

Basically, if its purpose is to make the house, laundry, dishes or air smell perfumed, it doesn’t belong in my little sanctuary. 😂🌿

I completely understand that this lifestyle won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s okay! I’m not looking to change anyone. I’m looking for someone who already loves a simple, natural, fragrance-free lifestyle OR genuinely feels good about stepping into one with me.

I really appreciate anyone who’s willing to respect this boundary and create a home together where both people feel heard, secure and comfortable. To me, that’s part of self-love, knowing what you need to feel well, communicating it confidently and finding people who can honour each other’s needs. 🤍
