Located in the bustling Kirkendall neighbourhood, steps away from Locke street. This is a detached house with room for 3 cars (one for each room mate). The property has a large back yard with a lawn, garden and patio space. We have already bought a patio dining set and a BBQ that you’re welcome to share with us. The house also has an unfinished basement for storage.

Our room mate is leaving to move in with his girlfriend, so we will have one main floor bedroom available on September 1st. The room fits a queen bed, a small desk, and small wardrobe, and is situated at the very front of the house with a large window facing the street.

Common areas are already mostly-furnished. The only thing we’ll be missing is a TV+stand and coffee table for the living room.

We have a weekly cleaning schedule rotation to cover the common areas (bathroom, kitchen, living room). We use the Splitwise app to track all our utility costs and other miscellaneous expenses like cleaning products and toilet paper. That bill is settled once a month.

We do not have any pets, and would prefer no pets in the house. But we may consider the right furry friend.

About Darce: I am a 33 y/o woman who works early shifts in landscaping. I love music and sing in a nerdy community choir once a week, play some occasional acoustic guitar in the house, and cook A LOT. I like to make big batches of food for a whole week at a time. (We have a fully stocked kitchen). I like frogs, art, wine and cheese, and concerts! I’m pretty quiet at home, but am usually down to chit chat if you wanna catch up!

About Sarah: I am a 28 y/o woman who works as an elementary teacher during the year and a high school co/op teach in the summer. I am in and out of the house a lot, always something fun to do! I’m very social and would love to catch up when my schedule is not chaotic. I love spending time out side, visiting up north, baking, cooking, visiting friends, gardening, and staying active.

We are both social people and have guests over sometimes. Our general rule is to give notice if you plan to host a group, but a friend or two can drop in any time.

This is our home and it is a safe space. We ask that you’re respectful, tidy and communicative, and committed to sharing the responsibilities of living with room mates.
