This is one of the coolest spaces, I’m told. Jaws drop people enter. It’s a fully furnished laneway house/studio that converts to a gallery/event venue. I am potentially looking to rent it out for a few months. But I’m very flexible. I designed the space to like a hotel room. All in high-gloss white, it has a Queen-sized murphy bed, full kitchen, 65“ TV, giant cloud couch, full kitchen - microwave, high end stove - incredible, industrial laundry - this is the best appliance I have ever owned - full bathroom with stand-up shower and a private backyard. And completely heated floors. It is also heated by a conventional mini split and smart fan. In the summer months, it has air conditioning too! It is also modular, so it converts to a gallery space with incredible lighting. Everything in it tucks away into its own space - including the couch and Murphy bed, so you can throw parties, use it as a studio of any sort and even park two cars on its newly epoxied floor, which is beautiful and ridiculously durable. I’m amenable to renting it asap and for the winter months.

The price is inclusive of most utilities, WIFI and TV. Of course, there is lots of storage and bike parking too It also has two entrances and a giant glass front garage door that opens wide - and is covered, when you want it to be, by an insulated privacy screen. The main code-locked entrance is off the giant, very well-lit laneway where there are lots of artists and families. The property is in the coveted west end Dufferin Grove neighbourhood. It is a less than 5-minute walk to the subway. About a 10-minute walk to the UP airport express and within walking distance of many of the city’s best restaurants, bars, vintage shopping as well as galleries and the other hottest downtown neighbourhoods, including Ossington, Queen W., College W, Dundas W. and so many hidden speakeasies and restos. I’m a professional who owns a giant residential property that includes this laneway house. Also on the property is my main house. It looks small from the front off the main street, which is beautiful, tranquil and has tons of trees. But looks can be deceiving, as we all know. My property is vast, but newly renovated and completely quiet. In the laneway house, you would be living alone. No roommates. No sharing of anything. And for some strange reason, you’d never see a soul. My main house is massive. It’s where I live, hopefully with a roomate. And beneath it, I have two permanent tenant,two lovely women in their 30s. But no one ever sees one another. No one has any clue that there are other people on the property, likely because there are lots of trees and lots of build in sheds. But also, each unit on my property is self-contained and newly soundproofed to the hilt! It’s awesome and worth checking out.
