I’m an artist/maker and also work in construction, so the home has a colourful, creative and lived-in feel. It’s relaxed, not a showroom. Sometimes everything is nicely put together, sometimes there’s an art project happening, and sometimes dishes briefly win. 😅 I’m not looking for perfection or someone who lives exactly the way I do. What matters more is being considerate of each other and generally conscious of the shared space. Considerate, not clinical. Clean-ish, not pristine. Communication over mind-reading. I’m friendly and enjoy having a good relationship with the person I live with, but I also really value downtime, independence and having a comfortable place to recharge. The ideal dynamic is friendly without feeling like we constantly need to socialize — happy to chat, share a laugh, occasionally hang out or have a meal, while also doing our own thing. I’m pretty adaptable, and if something comes up I’d much rather talk about it and find something that works for both people than let weird roommate tension slowly evolve in the corner like an abandoned science experiment. 🏘 The neighbourhood❤️ Commercial Drive is right nearby, with cafés, restaurants, bars, parks, independent shops and plenty of colourful East Van character. It’s a great area to wander around and explore locally, while still having easy access to public transit and the rest of the city. Interested?
