Alder Street

Looking for two new roommates to join me in a three bedroom house near Mayfair Mall for April 1st (one room is available right away). We are the top floor of a little green home. Utilities (BC Hydro and Internet) are often less than $70/month. There are separate basement tenants but we share the laundry with them in a communal alcove. The house is a short walk from major bus routes through the city (70, 71, 50, 31, 21). We are right near the 6 bus line which will get you downtown in less than 15mins. It is a 6 minute bike ride to Quadra Village, 10 mins to downtown and 7 mins to a nice mountain top for sunset. There is a front yard with a pear tree that is exposed to the street but gets lots of sun and a tucked away back yard with a table and chairs to sit and read at. Sadly, there isn’t much going on for garden space yet, but I’m pushing for it.

I’m a 25 yo from North Vancouver originally but I’ve lived in this city for 5 years and consider it home now. I’m in my third year of a biology undergraduate degree at the University of Victoria. I’m big into surfing, gardening, film photography, crafting and cooking. Claire is a math student at UVic and works at the Conservancy of Music downtown. She is spunky, loves to dance and has a wonderful singing voice. She will sadly be leaving in April so I’ll be looking for another room to be filled then! I’m looking for a room mate who is thoughtful and kind and would want to share meals and my baking with me and chat or watch movies in the living room sometimes. Ideally someone who is conscious about their environmental footprint! I’ve got a van and would love to go on some adventures around the South Island with our bubble. Claire will be taking some stuff with her when she leaves so I’d also be looking for roommates who want to help me design and decorate our home together. If you have plants, pls bring them.
