Julian's room

TLDR: Located on the Danforth, 1 bedroom on the main floor of a 2 bedroom house; large living/dining area suitable for WFH + a lovely summer sunroom and verdant backyard

Your room is awesome! Plenty of natural light via a large window, and the option to come partially furnished with a super funky loft bed that enables tons of home office/studio opportunities (that my current roommate, Jake, is taking full advantage of). If unfurnished is your thing, we can make that work too!

Outside of your room, you and I will share a bathroom, and we have a large living/dining area that is all yours throughout the day as I work out of a small side study. We currently have a cozy setup in there with the dining table and the futon/TV living room space, but I am more than happy to reconfigure if you need WFH accommodations.

Laundry is in-unit! Just a set of stairs away, as we share it with our downstairs neighbour, Devin.

We have a front sunroom area that is perfect for a summer morning workout; it gets cold in the winter so it’s serving as temporary storage until things warm back up. Our kitchen is equipped with an oven + dishwasher, and I have plenty of cookware if you’re looking to streamline/downsize.

And perhaps best of all: we have a great backyard setup, with patio chairs, a dining table, and Devin’s BBQ for summer grilling. When the weather gets bright and sunny, it is a perfect spot to hang out and talk shop over dinner. We have outlets out there too, so I’ve had plenty of summer WFH afternoons spent getting my tan on.

We’re right on the Danforth, only a 5 mins walk to the green (2) Subway line and 20 minutes to get downtown via Subway. Tons of green space nearby in terms of parks, and our neighbourhood has plenty of young families, so the evenings are calm + quiet. Shoppers Drug Mart, Sobeys, Valumart all within walking distance; and the restaurant + bar scene on the Danforth is second-to-none. Definitely a must-do when things open back up.

I’m Julian – nice to meet you! I’m 24 and currently WFH in Marketing for a large Consumer Goods company. Free products are a great perk of being my roommate :)

In my spare time I like to play board/video games, watch sports, and generally kick back with a nice local beer (15 minute walk from Godspeed). I’ve also been polishing off my cooking skills, and I’m always happy to share a nice communal meal.

You and I will share the main floor of a house; Devin is our basement neighbour, and he’s a really chill guy.

I’m easygoing, but I do value cleanliness in communal areas (kitchen/bathroom). Always happy to chat and play board games together; if you’re more of a lone wolf, I am very respectful of personal space/boundaries too. I’m a night owl, but I try to be stealthy in the evenings. Very COVID-aware, and will need someone who takes COVID seriously.
