About the room
My roommates and I are looking for a student or young professional to join our home. We’re a household of like-minded people who value communication, cleanliness, mutual respect, and good vibes.
We currently have one room available for $650/month, plus utilities. Utilities are typically around $100/month, but can occasionally rise as high as $200 during the winter, depending on gas usage. Because of this, it’s important that applicants are financially reliable and able to comfortably cover fluctuations.
There are currently 5 people living in the house total (3 women, 2 men). I live in a separate suite in the basement, while everyone else lives upstairs. While that may sound like a lot, the house is very spacious at roughly 2700 sq. ft., so it never feels crowded. Honestly, it’s common to go days without running into some roommates.
The upstairs includes:
- 5 bedrooms
- 2 living rooms
- 1 kitchen
- 2 full bathrooms
- Plenty of street parking
- A large backyard, perfect for summer hangs
- Lots of storage space both inside the house and in the backyard shed
The location is hard to beat. We’re in Briar Hill, right behind Lions Park C-Train Station and North Hill Centre. It’s about:
- 2 minutes to the train
- 2 minutes to Safeway and the gym
- 10 minute walk to SAIT
- 15–20 minute walk to Kensington
Overall, it’s an awesome spot for someone looking for a relaxed, respectful household in an unbeatable location.
About the roomies
Some of the roommates are students, while others are travelers here on working visas. We also have 2 super chill cats, but unfortunately we can’t accommodate any additional pets.
We all value our personal space, but also enjoy hanging out together from time to time — whether that’s watching movies, cooking together, or just relaxing around the house. Respect is a big priority here, especially when it comes to guests and noise levels.
Some hobbies and interests around the house include:
DJing/music production Cooking & baking Anime & gaming Plants & gardening Hiking & outdoors Painting, drawing, and arts & crafts Fitness & wellness
We’re hoping to find a respectful, easygoing, like-minded person who will contribute positively to the community vibe of the house. We are LGBTQIA2S+ friendly.
If you’re interested, send me a message with a little bit about yourself, your lifestyle, and your hobbies/interests. Looking forward to hearing from you!
