Private room in a 2-bedroom basement suite. The suite has lots of lighting, a big kitchen with loads of cupboards and dishwasher, in-suite laundry, full bathroom (shared but it’s a decent size), and separate entrance from the main floor. The landlords built the house only a few years ago, so everything is new and fresh. The main area is furnished with a couch, chairs, dining table, most kitchen appliances, a digital piano, and lots of houseplants! It’s all mine, but I would be happy to move things around to make sure it feels like home for everyone. The house is in a gorgeous neighbourhood with tons of trees, and is half a block away from a park, walking trails, golf course, and the river is only a 5-minute walk. It’s also considered one of the safest neighbourhoods in Winnipeg! It’s a 7-minute drive to University of Manitoba, 10-minute walk to Pembina Highway, and is central enough that basically everything else is 15 minutes driving.

I am a U of M student working on a Master’s in Voice Performance. I love to read, knit/crochet, watch movies, do puzzles, play board games, go hiking, you name it. I’m a fairly quiet and introverted person, but I do love meeting new people and having a few friends over for movies or games. I am also, admittedly, a bit of a nerd. So if you like Star Trek or Lord of the Rings or Spider-Man I’m sure we will get along quite well (if you are not interested in that, I can contain it with a little bit of effort). :) I am a private music teacher, so every so often I teach in the basement suite but only a couple times a week. Due to an unnaturally busy schedule, I try to get to bed fairly early, so quiet time in the evening is pretty important. The main area stays fairly clean so that any music students coming for lessons can feel comfortable and safe. Cooking is very much encouraged (I love baking but am REALLY bad at it)!
